The Spencer General Store has long been a part of Spencer history. A student of the now closed school near the General Store Tobi Smith explains. “The shop has been there for so many years. As school kids the school teacher would send a couple of kids down at lunchtime to pick up the milk bottles from the shop, this was the 80’s so they were glass bottles with aluminium foil top, and a thick creamy layer at the very top of the milk.”
“The new shop renovations are absolutely stunning.
Spencer is a hidden gem.” She added
“Just metres down the road is the beautiful sculpture recently created by Central Coast artist Pete Rush.”
The Anchor Spencer is currently open 8 AM to 6PM and is located at 4666 Wiseman's Ferry road Spencer 2775
